Detailed Itinerary

 

Day 1 Arrival at Entebbe International Airport

A warm welcome, meet and greet by your tour leader at the Airport. Drive to your hotel should it be a night arrival, we check into

Imperial Resort Beach Hotel for an overnight or Else we will drive to Kampala overnight protea hotel if ONLY you arrive before 8pm.

Day 2 Drive to Murchison Falls National Park.

After breakfast 8:30am, we head 38kms into Kampala city through to Murchison Falls National Park or Kampala depending on where you spent the previous night - Uganda's biggest Park which is over 5000sqkm. A drive through the historical Luwero Triangle famous for the Uganda guerilla war of 1980's, Continuing on through Nakasongola a brief stop at Ziwa rhino sanctuary to track the southern white rhinos for an hour located 179km from Kampala, we continue to Masindi town 58km where we shall stop briefly for lunch or continue to Red Chilli's Hideaway camp 89kms. After our lunch we drive to the park and check in at

Nile Safari Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3 Game Drive and boat ride in Murchison Falls National Park.

Rise at 6:00am morning breakfast or just a cup of coffee, We then go Ferry crossing to the northern bank of the Nile to the where much wildlife activity is dwells out here we start our drive. During the game drive we absorb the broad savanna grasslands as we view several game such as elephants, giraffes, buffalos, the big cuts such as the lions and leopards hunting and so much more. Our checklist could reach as many as 76 mammals. We shall continue browsing the drive circuits to the Delta point for a cocktail of birds and mammals. If you are a keen birder this might be your an absolute opportunity to spot as many birds as you possibly can. We return for lunch and an afternoon boat ride for 3 hours (2 - 5pm) during which we view more game namely hippos in their pods, crocodiles, Possibly elephants, snakes, Nile perch fish and several birds.

After the game drive we shall report back to Nile Safari Lodge to relax and unwind as we reflect on our adventure-filled day. We shall then have dinner and overnight.

Day 4 Murchison Falls National Park to Kibale National Park

Early morning breakfast and check out of Nile safaris lodge saying bye to Murchison Falls National Park. We shall drive along Lake Albert to the escarpment area for great views of the rift valley. Continue to Hoima town for lunch at Kolping Hotel after which we continue driving through Mabale, Kagadi towns with fascinating views of the local communities - thatched houses, school kids and finally to Kyenjojo town. From Murchison Falls National Park to Kyenjojo is a dirt road 236km. We continue driving for 55km to Fort Portal town and continue through the tea plantations for the entire evening and arrive in Kibale National Park. We check in;

Day 5 Chimp trekking and Bigodi Nature Walk in Kibale National Park

We shall have early morning breakfast after which we go to the Kibale National Park headquarters for the morning briefing. After the briefing we then start the chilling chimpanzee tracking experience. During the trek we shall see lots of monkeys, birds and several bird species.

At the end of the chimp tracking we return to Primate's Lodge for lunch. We shall relax and unwind and then go for a nature walk in Bigodi. During the nature walk we shall view a lot more monkeys.

After the walk we shall then return to;

Primate's Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 6 Kibale National Park to Queen Elizabeth National Park

We check out of Kibale National Park as early as 7.00am and drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park. We shall check in at Kingfisher Lodge for lunck.

After our lunch we go for the afternoon boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel. During the cruise you shall view lots of game and bird. From the boat cruise we report back to;

Kingfisher Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 7 Queen Elizabeth National Park to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

As usual we shall have an early morning breakfast and go for a morning game drive in the southern section of the park (Ishasha). This section is popular for the tree climbing lions. During this game drive we also stand high chances of seeing more game such as bufallos, elephants, and hippos in Ntungwe River. Check out of the park and lunch at Savannah Resort hotel.

After lunch we drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for yet more thrilling adventures.

Day Eight Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi Impenetrable

We shall have early morning breakfast after which we report to the park headquarters for a vital briefing on gorilla trekking. You shall then your start gorilla tracking expedition whose duration shall depend on how fast you shall track a gorilla family.

You shall then return to the accommodation facility for relaxation and overnight.

Day 9 Bwindi Impenetrable National Park to Lake Bunyonyi.

We shall have early morning breakfast and then drive to Lake Bunyonyi for a unique experience of relaxation and adventure after a roller coaster of previous safari activities.

We shall check in at Crater Bay Cottages for lunch. We shall go canoeing in the evening after which we shall return for dinner and overnight.

Day 10 Nature in Lake Bunyonyi

After breakfast we shall have a nature walk around lake bunyonyi the beautiful sceneries of Lake Bunyonyi during which we shall also do a community walk in the pygmy communities of Lake Bunyonyi.

We shall return later in the evening for;

Day 11 Lake Bunyonyi to Lake Mburo

We shall have early morning breakfast after which we drive to Lake Mburo National Park.

Lake Mburo National Park is Uganda's smallest in Uganda though blessed with so much wildlife diversity not to be missed out on any long Uganda safari.

On reaching Lake Mburo National Park which is a 3 - 4hrs hours drive from Lake Bunyonyi we shall do a quick game drive after which we shall go for our lunch, briefly relax and then go an evening boat ride.

From the boat ride we shall check in at a safari lodge for

Day 12 Departure Day

We shall have early morning breakfast after which we do a walking safari. The end of the walking safari shall mark the end of our 12 Days Uganda Safari tour. We shall then drive back to Kampala then to Entebbe to catch and evening flight.
