Volunteer Safaris

At Steady Safaris, we want to give you an opportunity to give something back to people and communities who may be vulnerable to or living in poverty. We can arrange for you to carry out social care activities such as visiting an orphanage, or for example, if you are a professional in the medical field, you could carry out health talks in a village. In this way, you can contribute to the development of Ugandan people as well as enjoying the stunning scenery this beautiful country has to offer. Just tell us what your area of interest is and we can suggest how you can make a positive difference in someone's life. Normally, the 'volunteering' part of your holiday will be 1 or 2 days before or after the time you spend in the game parks or trekking primates.

Real Uganda Safaris

If you have a desire to go 'off the beaten track' we can arrange for you to spend 1 or 2 days living in the heart of a Ugandan village. You can live with a family, see how they prepare local food, enjoy the coolness of staying in a mudhut, and help with family chores such as fetching water! The local culture and community can be seen firsthand during this unforgettable experience. The only downside might be using the outside latrine toilets - don't be surprised to find no electricity or running water in the village!!!
